This mat is a mix of four powerful symbols, the Buddha, Ouroboros, Lotus and the Flower of Life. This design was one of the first creations from our team, as all of the symbols are part of mystic wisdom. These sacred symbols represent the nature of creation and destruction, and the geometric patterns explaining the fabric of the cosmos through symbolism.

With the Lotus at the top, when visualized or contemplated upon as a point of concentration; it is believed to be the gateway to higher states of consciousness, inner stillness, and spiritual awakening.

The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol that depicts a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, forming a circular shape. It is derived from Greek words “oura” meaning “tail” and “boros” meaning “eating.” The symbol has been found in various cultures throughout history, including Egyptian, Norse, and Greek mythology.

The Ouroboros represents several concepts and interpretations. It symbolizes cyclicality, eternity, and the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. It signifies the infinite nature of time and the interconnectedness of all things. The act of the serpent consuming its own tail suggests self-reflexivity, self-sufficiency, and the idea that everything is contained within itself.

In different contexts, the Ouroboros can also represent concepts like unity, wholeness, the balance of opposing forces, and the concept of primordial chaos giving rise to order. It has been associated with alchemy, where it represents the union of opposites and the process of transformation and renewal.

The Ouroboros continues to be a symbol of philosophical, mystical, and psychological significance, representing the cyclical nature of existence and the interplay between creation and destruction.

The Flower of Life is a geometric pattern that consists of overlapping circles arranged in a symmetrical manner, forming a flower-like shape. It is a sacred symbol that has been found in various ancient cultures and religions around the world.

The Flower of Life is believed to be a blueprint of creation and the fundamental structure of the universe. It is often associated with sacred geometry, which explores the geometric patterns and mathematical proportions found in nature and the cosmos.

The symbol has deep spiritual and metaphysical significance. It is considered a visual representation of the interconnectedness of all life and the underlying unity of existence. Some interpret it as a symbol of divine creation, the source of all creation, and the interplay of masculine and feminine energies. It is also seen as a symbol of harmony, balance, and the perfection of the natural world.

The Flower of Life has been found in various ancient sites and temples, including the Osirian temple in Egypt and the Temple of Osiris in Abydos. It continues to be used in spiritual and meditative practices, as well as in modern art, jewelry, and decorative designs.

About the Material

Our mats are heavy, grippy and made to last. We made these mats for yoga practitioners of all levels looking for a high-end mat that they can be proud of. The Polyurethane rubber gives yogis the ultimate combination of grip and breathability.

They are hot yoga ready, as the material is very easy to clean with a little soap and water. You will have no problem staying on the mat even when things get sweaty and mobile.

Our mats are 5mm thick, which is thicker than most regular mats so they are quite comfortable. Thick enough to do headstand on, but thin enough that they don’t take away from your flow. They weigh 7 lbs, so they aren’t necessarily a backpacking mat, but with the right carrier bag it should be no problem.

In addition to being made of the highest end rubber we could source; this rubber is biodegradable and eco-friendly. The majority of yoga mats on the market usually under the $60 price range, are made from PVC. PVC is made from highly toxic chemical plasticizer and will never degrade (similar to plastic waste). PVC is made from many toxic materials such as cadmium, lead, chlorine and even mercury, so it’s important to get a mat that is safe for you, and the environment.

These mats are capable of degrading in a landfill after 5 years because they are made from petrochemical-based polymers, making them much more eco-friendly than PVC.
